As an advocate for mental health, Dr. Sermon shares her story on different platforms to educate others on the importance of "Ending the Stigma" concerning mental health. She attends community events to support initiatives that cater to spreading awareness about mental health and causes that are directly connected to mental health awareness such as domestic violence and abuse awareness, suicide prevention, and child abuse prevention. Furthermore, she believes that it takes a courageous person to face his or herself and do the work through asking for help and guidance in a mental health crisis.
